Dan Bittman, Fin Min’s adviser on public feed-back

Holograf band soloist and TV celebrity Dan Bittman has been appointed adviser to the minister of finance on matters related to the image of the institution among the general public, Finance Minister Sebastian Vladescu announced yesterday.

‘I want feed-back from the public. Being a popular personality, unconnected to the ministry, Bittman can bring us an objective opinion on the image of the institution. He can find out what people’s opinions are. I want to know what the public thinks about MFP’ Vladescu explained. ‘Mr. Vladescu offered me the job and, in principle, I have accepted the challenge. I am not yet sure about what I am supposed to do, if Mr. Vladescu wants me to be some sort of a mouthpiece for his ideas. My role will probably be to bring as much information I can from the real world. He also wants regular people around him,’ Bittman said on Realitatea TV. The artist doesn’t expect to have any difficulties in pursuing his musical career further. ‘I believe I will still be able to perform with Holograf during while I am the minister’s adviser.’

Asked if he and Dan Bittman were friends, Minister Vladescu answered the best way to put it was that they knew each other. Two weeks before, Vladescu had appointed radio host Andrei Gheorghe as his communication adviser. ‘Gandul’ daily quoted the minister saying that the new press centre co-ordinator was doing physical and mental work-out in order to cope with the workload at the Government.
