Duster to be most likely launched in May

Dacia will launch its new Duster model most likely in April for the press and in May in a commercial way, Automobile Dacia Board Chairman Jacques Chauvet told Mediafax yesterday.

Chauve added that more details on the selling price of the new model would be available at the Geneva Motor Show. ‘Duster will give a very good value for money,’ Chauvet said, noting that the new concept would be similar to Logan with respect to the quality-price ratio.

Chauvet refused to give any details on how many Duster units would be produced this year by Dacia. He did say though that the production capacity was flexible enough, so the plant would just meet the demand. Previous information suggested that Dacia Duster would be available in the 4×2 and 4×4 versions, with a 1.6 L and 110 HP petrol engine and with two different diesel engines: 1.5 L/85 HP and 1.5 L/105 HP.

In the basic version, Dacia Duster is equipped with two front airbags and three-point seat belts. For other versions, there are two side airbags for head and thorax for the driver and passenger’s seats.
