Gov’t extends Social Contribution obligation

The persons with a yearly income of at least four gross average salaries, among whom those with revenues derived exclusively from copyright, civil conventions or collaboration contracts, will be insured compulsorily with the public pension system, according to Realitatea.Net. The Ministry of Labour, Family and Social Protection submitted yesterday to public debate the draft of the Law regarding the unitary public pension system. In the same situation are also the unique associates and shareholders, the administrators or managers who have concluded administration or management contracts, members of family associations, persons authorized to provide independent activities, persons hired in international institutions, if they are not insured by them, persons who derive revenues exclusively from copyright, civil conventions or collaboration contracts, and also those who derive revenues from professional activities. The persons who derive exclusively revenues from copyright, civil conventions or collaboration contracts, and are aged at least 18, are obliged to insure themselves subject to the individual insurance statement, which must be submitted within 30 days as of the hiring date.
