EUR 100,000 stolen in Timisoara

Two masked men broke into the home of a jewel store owner in Timisoara on Tuesday evening, leaving with a safe containing EUR 50,000 in cash and jewels worth the same amount. According to preliminary data, the thieves did not act randomly but instead had information that there were money and valuable goods in the house. The policemen state that only a child was in the house at the time of the attack. The little boy heard suspicious noises and tried to confront the two men. The thieves disarmed him and closed the 12-year-old boy in the bathroom. The policemen have put an APB on the red Volkswagen Golf 2 vehicle that the two thieves used. The car has German or French license plates.
