Fitch gives stable rating to four Romanian banks

The Fitch ratings agency has revised yesterday the outlook for the Romanian Commercial Bank (BCR), BRD – Groupe Societe Generale, UniCredit Tiriac Bank and the Romanian Bank by changing their ratings from ‘negative’ to ‘stable’ as a result of a similar modification in Romania’s country rating. According to Mediafax, the four banks’ ratings are influenced by the institutional support offered by their mother-groups and are limited by Romania’s ‘BBB’ country rating.
