PSD Senator Catalin Voicu went back to the Anti-corruption National Department (DNA) yesterday morning to be questioned in connection with new accusations of influence peddling.
Since last week, the prosecutors extended the investigations also to other deeds, but the vice president of the Commission on defence from Senate requested to postpone the hearings in his case. Catalin Voicu remained around two and a half hours at DNA, and leaving the place he refused to give details about his declarations made to prosecutors. Voicu only said that many people have problems with him, and considering that he is a Senator, his problems with DNA will be cleared in time.
Voicu is suspected of having interceded with several magistrates in favour of some businessmen who had files pending with prosecutors’ offices and courts.
