Medieval music performance at Preoteasa Club

Medieval and traditional music group Truverii performs old European music at Bucharest’s Preoteasa Club, within Students’ Cultural Centre, tonight from 7:30 PM. The band performs less known European music, in a continuous pursuit of supporting the rediscovery of European spiritual identity. As they write on their website, their music is for all tastes and categories, regardless of nationality or social background. Having emerged as a band in the Studio 24 Art Company in the Comedians’ Court in 2002, the current Truverii concept dates back to 1992, at the first Sighisoara Medieval Art Festival. Truverii became a separate band in 2003 and since then, it has changed line-up several times. Currently, the band is made of Mihai Serghei Todor (frontman, vocals, percussion, brass instruments), Carmen Maruntelu (vocals, percussion), Alexandra Stoenescu (vocals, guitar, percussion), Sandra Ana Gaitan (vocals, percussion), Irina Macovei (violin, vocals, percussion) and Gabriel Balasa (percussion).
