BCR co-financed 4,000 projects implemented with EU funds

BCR EU funds specialized offices have carried out more than 4,000 projects at various stages of approval, with a total value of EUR 2.5 bn, in four years, the bank informs.

‘Almost 45 per cent of the projects approved and funded within the Operational Programmes and the National Rural Development Programme are being implemented by BCR clients. We have a special category of clients with projects on the sector of (Agriculture and rural development) accounting for 60 per cent of the total’ Ramona Ivan, Executive Director of the Financial Institutions Directorate of BCR, stated. According to the bank, the projects referred to are approved, contracted, already implemented, submitted to the Management Authorities of the Operational Programmes or to the authorities in charge with the various state aid schemes, or just in a preparation phase. Since 1992, BCR has managed over 90 national or regional financing programmes worth more than EUR 4.4 bn.

BCR’s offer of co-financing/pre-financing for EU funding beneficiaries includes EU Agri BCR, EU Competitiv BCR, EU Infrastructura BCR, EU Turism BCR and EU Pescuit BCR product suites. Apart from the EU funds, BCR has seven financing agreements for a total of EUR 315 M with international financial institutions.
