Bucharest Airports count on RON 80 M profit

The National Airport Company (CNAB) set up through the merger last year of Henri Coanda Otopeni International Airport and Aurel Vlaicu Baneasa Airport, counts this year on revenues of RON 476.08 M and a gross profit of RON 80.4 M, Mediafax informs. The expenditures will rise to RON 395.68 M, of which RON 75.23 M with the personnel, reads a draft resolution of the Government for the approval of the budget of the company for 2010, worked out by the Ministry of Transports and Infrastructure (MTI). The salary fund will be RON 56.49 M, while the number of employees is predicted to be 1.107 persons, with average monthly gains per employee of RON 4,234. For the participation in the council of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO), the company will spend RON 38.76 M. Romania’s representative in ICAO is Catalin Cotrut, godson of the former chief of the Romanian Civil Aeronautical Authority, Florea Geica, who resigned from office in 2008, after the media reported that he benefited from a pension of over RON 30,000.
