MFP sells RON 500 M worth of bills

The Ministry of Public Finance yesterday sold RON 500 M worth of one-year treasury bills with an average yield of 7.15 per cent – a minimum level since January 2007. The maximum yield MFP will sustain in connection with other securities old is 7.18 per cent and the banks’ demand for securities amounted to RON 1.97 bn, Mediafax informs. MFP has scheduled a total of six auctions in February, planning to sell RON 3 bn worth of government securities – the smallest annual value announced ever since November 2008.
