Israeli Foreign Minister to visit Bucharest in April

The Israeli minister Avigdor Lieberman will undertake an official visit to Bucharest on April 14-15, the Romanian Foreign Ministry informs following a meeting between the two in Brussels at the Foreign Affairs Council. The top diplomats reaffirmed “the excellent stage of bilateral relations” and emphasized the need to consolidate them through concrete cooperation projects. Minister Baconschi stressed the particular role of the Israeli business community in stimulating the Romanian investment sector, especially in the current circumstances, marked by the effects of the global crisis, reads the communiqué. Lieberman and Baconschi also talked about the prospects of the peace process in the Middle East and the Iranian nuclear file.
