Gheorghe Dumitru, president of the League of Justice against Corruption and Abuses, a former presidential candidate in 2000, was remanded and is set to be brought in front of Bucharest’s High Court, after he has allegedly murdered a janitor further to a conflict. According to Cristian Ciocan, Bucharest Police spokesman, quoted by Mediafax, the janitor had allegedly gone to Dumitru to request his advice in a legal matter. The latter, who appears to have been under the influence of alcohol, and, after contradictory discussion, has allegedly hit the victim with his fists, the quoted source said.
