Agerpres launched new portal

Agerpres, the National Press Agency on Tuesday launched a new interface of its webpage www.agerpres.ro, which offers visitors prompt access to the latest, unbiased and useful information, a press release from the agency reads. The new design, improved information content and useful references take into account public interest shifting online. The most important news every day can be found in the Politics, Economy, Legal, Administration, Social, Culture, Life, International, Sports and Press review pages, along with other information such as currency rate exchanges, weather, stock exchange quotations etc. The new platform, which integrates images with text and audio-video folders, contains elements ensuring quick online access to information: automatic email or RSS notifications of newly posted information, availability of statistical data, a calendar of events and headlines of last-hour events, press statements, search engines, press monitoring and useful links. “The National Press Agency has a production tailored to conveying against-the-clock information, as well as a fitting infrastructure. Now, when everybody can post information on the Internet, the role played by a national press agency becomes even more important. (…) We are glad we can now offer any citizen access to genuine and useful first-hand information,” AGERPRES General Director Ioan Rosca said.
