As of today, spring has come to Romania. The south and east will get enough sun to make up for the snow and blizzard they have seen so much of this winter, while in the other areas, the sky will be partly cloudy. But the sun is not back alone, as it will bring along warm air from the west, with highs that will be 6-7 degrees above normal. Romanians should ready their light clothes fast, as Saturday will bring highs up to 19, even 20 degrees Celsius in southern Romania. Bucharest too will see much sun and high temperatures at midday, and the 18 degrees will invite everybody to get out for a stroll in the park. On Saturday and Sunday, the north-west of the country may still see some light rain, but only in spots. Even mountain resorts will begin to feel the coming of the spring, with sun, but also clouds, and the north of the Eastern Carpathians might even see some light snow, wind and fog. The warm-up increases the danger of avalanches, with the highest risk being around 1,800 meter altitude.
