The fourth edition of NexT Festival will kick off this year on April 13. This year movie lovers can get all-screening passes and individual tickets from the TicketFan network. A pass for 10 screenings will cost RON 80 while a pass for the entire festival will cost RON 150. The special selection for kids, hosted at Scala, will cost RON 5 per screening. NeXT wishes to be more than a prestigious selection of good films, it intends to be a meeting point for filmmakers and film specialists all around the world, an opportunity for them to exchange points of view, ideas about film. The festival aims to encourage young filmmakers to take the step from the short feature to the full-length feature film. Created in memory of film director Cristian Nemescu and sound-designer and composer Andrei Toncu, NexT Film Festival is focused on these two main coordinates: film directing and sound-design. The whole structure of the festival is built around these two main directions. Internationally, ”NexT” wishes to become the Central and South-Eastern European centre of short and medium length film, as well as a gathering point for the specialists in the field who are interested in this geographic area and its spirit.
