Court of Accounts president Nicolae Vacaroiu feels well after undergoing heart surgery, Agerpres reported Friday, quoting surgeon Serban Bradisteanu, the head of the medical team that performed the intervention. “The patient is feeling well, he got out of bed and tried to move around. He has a good tonus and follows the prescribed treatment,” Bradisteanu explained. Vacaroiu, a former prime minister, went into hospital with the diagnosis of coronary cardiopathy and was subject to heart surgery that went well and solved his heart problems by arterial microtransplants. During the seven-hour operation, Vacaroiu’s heart was halted for 30 minutes. According to medics, after leaving hospital, the patient will be able to lead a normal life and go to work, but he must avoid making effort.
