Largest private hospital in Western Romania inaugurated

The largest private hospital in Western Romania has been inaugurated on Saturday in Timisoara. According to Agerpres, the ‘Athena’ hospital mainly focuses on assisted reproduction and gynecology and has high performing surgery and imaging equipment. The investment surpassed EUR 12 M and the hospital is the best equipped center for in vitro fertilization in the country, Ovidiu Cristian Patrut, executive manager says. Future mothers will be able to give birth underwater and will also benefit from stem cell bank technology. Hospital representatives have announced they will sign a contract with the County Office for Health Insurance so as of April, patients will be able to benefit from free services too.

The unit’s specializations are fully licensed by the Health Ministry and the Public Health Authority. The hospital can accommodate up to 80 adults and 30 newborn.
