Sandra Bullock
preparing for divorce

Sandra Bullock is getting all her ducks in a row for a divorce, RadarOnline.com reports. According to the website, the Oscar-winning actress, 45, is ready to proceed against husband Jesse James, 40, in the wake of his cheating scandal. The former Monster Garage host has been linked to four women, but the site says there are more out there, including one whom he allegedly got pregnant. James briefly checked out of the Tucson rehab facility where he was getting treated for sex addiction and “other issues’’ because the actress reportedly refused to take James’ phone calls. Bullock has laid low since the scandal broke, visiting only with family and close friends.

Jolie, Pitt make surprise visit to Bosnia

Hollywood actors Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt visited Bosnia on a surprise trip meant to highlight the plight of hundreds of thousands still homeless 15 years after the end of the Bosnian war, Radio Free Europe reports.

The celebrity couple arrived on April 4 and visited a refugee camp near the eastern town of Gorazde. Some 117,000 people remain displaced by the 1992-1995 Bosnian war. They are unable to return to their homes either because they have not been rebuilt or because their villages lack basic infrastructure. Jolie has served as an ambassador for the United Nation’s Refugee Agency (UNHCR) since 2001. The couple banned the press from covering their visit. Reports say they were scheduled to leave Bosnia later on Monday and travel to neighboring Croatia.

Michael Jackson’s
doctor appears in court

Michael Jackson’s relatives have attended a court appearance by the doctor accused of giving the singer a lethal dose of powerful anaesthetic, BBC News reports. Dr Conrad Murray, 57, has pleaded not guilty to involuntary manslaughter. During a brief procedural hearing in Los Angeles, Dr Murray’s case was assigned to Judge Michael Pastor. Judge Pastor adjourned the case until mid-June, when he is expected to rule on whether to revoke Dr Murray’s medical licence pending the full trial. Members of the Jackson family turned out in force for the largely procedural hearing, led by his parents Katherine and Joe. His siblings Janet, Randy and Jermaine were also present. Dozens of journalists and fans also packed the downtown courthouse. Dr Murray is alleged to have administered a lethal dose of Propofol and other drugs, which resulted in the pop star’s death on 25 June. According to US reports, Dr Murray’s legal team is to argue that Jackson accidentally killed himself by injecting himself with Propofol.
