The reinsertion of reality into fiction” brings before the NexT audience one of the most famous and widely acknowledged Romanian screenwriters, the man behind feature films such as Moartea domnului Lazarescu/ The Death of Mr. Lazarescu, Hartia va fi albastra/ The Paper Will Be Blue and Boogie, who will speak about the art and craft of writing for cinema. A close collaborator of Jim Jarmusch, together with whom he produced cult-movies such as Stranger than Paradise, Night on Earth and Coffee and Cigarettes, Stark will explain more in-depth the conditions in which an independent producer works in an ultra-commercial system. An absolute first in the series of NexT seminars is the film critique seminar “The (Mis)Adventures of an Author of Film Books”, to be given on Friday, April 16, from 10:30, by the well-known journalist, film critic and historian Ronald Bergen, correspondent, among others, with the prestigious London daily The Guardian, author of several books on film history and theory, former vice-chairman of FIPRESCI (The International Federation of Film Critics) and reader at the Sorbonne, the British Institute in Paris, University of Lille and Florida International University of Miami.
