Nastase: PSD to uphold new draft Fiscal Code

PSD National Council leader and Chamber of Deputies Deputy-Speaker Adrian Nastase has announced that the Social-Democrats would shortly propose a new draft Fiscal Code implementing the theory of differentiated taxation. ‘The minimum tax is only one of the mills stones that can be easily seen in the fiscal programme generated by the Boc Government. In reality, issues are much more numerous and affect more a lot more people. I have been critical of that particular tax philosophy right from the beginning and the PSD departments issued several assessments showing its faults even during our joint governance. We will fight all the way through for scrapping the minimum tax and for exposing the Boc Government as the worst performing government in the last 20 years of Romanian democracy’, Adrian Nastase writes on his blog. In his opinion, it was not that PSD had not fought it hard enough, but PDL had managed to put together a dodgy parliamentary majority to irrationally defend its measures’.
