Tuborg Green Fest fusions
with Sonisphere



This year’s edition of Tuborg Green Fest, one of the most influential international music festivals, will be brought by Sonisphere, following the forging of a partnership between the organizers. This, between June 25 and 27, Romexpo opens its gates to lovers of rock music and good beer, in the longest awaited line up of the year: Metallica, Rammstein, Manowar, Heaven & Hell, Sayer, Megadeth, Alice in Chains, Anthrax, Volbeat, Mastodon, Stone Sour. The biggest festival in Romania, Tuborg Green Fest 2010, presented by Sonisphere Festival, will take place between June 25 and 27, at Romexpo, and will be organized by East European Concert and Marcel Avram, associated with D&D East Entertainment. “We are very enthusiastic to take part as organizers in the Tuborg Green Fest 2010 project, presented by Sonisphere Festival, which represents the merging of two of the most famous international festivals! One of the greatest such events organized so far in Romania, the festival will offer us three days of unparalleled music, a whole load of fund and an incendiary atmosphere. Moreover, we have some more surprises in store for the Romanian audience,” Denise Sandulescu, General Manager D&D East Entertainment, says.


Fashion Week in Cluj dedicated
to Alexander McQueen



Between April 14 and 17, the centre of the fashion world shifts to Cluj, during the Cluj Fashion Week Festival, on its first edition. During the four days of the festival, the focus will include both the autumn-winter 2010-2011 collections by Romanian designers, as well as those by foreign artists. The new element brought by the Cluj Fashion Week is an international attendance, the festival’s participants including so far designers from France, Greece, Turkey, Austria, Hungary, Italy and South Korea. Moreover, Cluj Fashion Week aims to promote, in Romania, an innovative concept in which fashion, music, film, drama and sculpture acquire new forms of expression in an organized space. This first edition of the Cluj Fashion Week proposes to pay homage to Alexander McQueen, an emblem of international fashion, passed away this February.


Kiev’s Sleeping Beauty to perform in May


Kiev’s City Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre will perform “Sleeping Beauty” on May 26, at the Bucharest Palace Hall, the organizers, Vreau Bilet agency, announce. The ballet performance “Sleeping Beauty”, Piotr Ilich Tchaikovsky’s second ballet, written in 1889, based on Charles Perrault’s fairy-tale, comprises three acts, with a prologue, in a libretto written by I. Vsevolojsky and Marius Petipa, choreographed by the latter. This ballet premiered on January 3, 1890, at the Mariinski Theatre, in Sankt Petersburg. The tickets for this performance, by the Kiev Opera and Ballet Theatre, at the Palace Hall, are already on sale in the Vreau Bilet network – Unirea Shopping Center, Carrefour Feeria-Baneasa Shopping City, the University subway passage – Trident Touring agency, at the Palace Hall and online, on www.vreaubilet.ro. Ticket prices range between RON 35 and 120, depending on the category.
