Housing Agency operating norms modified

The government passed yesterday a resolution to modify and supplement methodological norms for the operation of the National Housing Agency (ANL), following a proposal made by the Ministry of Regional Development and Tourism, Mediafax reports. Under an emergency ordinance, houses for young people, destined for rental, may be sold to the holders of renting contracts, only at their request, after the elapse of a minimum of one year of uninterrupted lease by the same contract holder and/or by the person in whose benefit the lease was continued, in conditions stipulated by the law, without taking into account the age of the requesting party as a condition for the sale. Another ordinance stipulates that the house’s sale value is estimated by authorised representatives of the local public administration or by the economic operators that have the respective buildings in their administration.
