Junior gymnasts yesterday won the first Romanian medals in the European Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Birmingham, UK. Andrei Muntean won the gold medal in the parallel bars event (13,800) and Adelin Kotrong won the silver medal in the floor event final, finishing on equal score (14,125) with Belgian gymnast Volkaert Siemon. Qualified for the big final with the biggest score (14,175 points), junior Muntean did not disappoint either. Adelin Kotrong won the second medal for Romania, finishing second in the floor routine final, with a score equal to Belgian Volkaert Siemon’s. The gold went to the hosts, Max Whitlock being marked with 14,175 points.
