PDL Galati branch dissolved

Constantin Dumitriu, the leader of Democrat Liberals’ Galati branch, resigned last week-end. The Permanent Bureau of the party’s branch was dissolved as a consequence of Dumitriu’s decision. Dumitriu claims the move was necessary in order to reorganise the branch. According to Mediafax, the local leader stated that the PDL branch will be led by a commission that will organise internal elections by June 13. Mircea Toader, the leader of PDL’s Galati County branch and Vice President of the party at national level, stated that the resignation lacked a political character, instead having to do with the way in which the party is organized. Toader claimed that Dumitriu could take over the leadership of the Braila branch.
