Romanian Diplomatic Institute’s new general director appointed

Radu Carp was appointed on Friday, by order of the Foreign minister, as general director of the Romanian Diplomatic Institute (IDR), the Foreign Ministry (MAE) writes in a press release.

Radu Carp is pro-dean of the Bucharest University’s Faculty of Political Science, also a member of the Romanian Institute for Public Law and Administrative Sciences, and vice-president of the Association of Law and International Relations. According to MAE, the new general director proposed a program with several priorities: creating a curriculum better suited to the exigencies of diplomatic training, holding courses adapted to the specific competencies of diplomats, as required by their future missions, and programs that will provide for an individualised evolution. The president of IDR is Foreign Minister, Teodor Baconschi.
