Boureanu resigns from the helm of PDL Arges

Deputy Cristian Boureanu resigned, on Tuesday, from the office of president of the Democrat-Liberal Party (PDL) Arges branch, after the party’s central leadership decided to appoint a group comprising Sulfina Barbu, Florin Popescu and Cristache Radulescu in charge of the Arges branch and of internal elections there. According to Mediafax, Boureanu said he thanked the people of Arges, irrespective of their political affiliations, because Arges County has been the stage of his political activity for the past eight years. “I especially thank those who voted and supported me in the county political activity. I thank all PDL members in the county and the leadership team I have created with great effort and sacrifice during the past two years. I hope the reorganising of the branch will be done in a wise and balanced manner. I send my regards to colleagues from other parties and I hope we will remain political adversaries and partners in the pursuit of public interest,” the Deputy added.
