Opera Promenade, a one-time feast in Bucharest

The fourth edition of the Opera Promenade brings an extraordinary concert, to take place in open air, on the esplanade in front of the Bucharest Opera, on Sunday, May 9.

The programme will be hosted by Ion Caramitru, actor and director of the Bucharest National Theatre, and will include famous arias and duets from operas, performed by young lyrical artists, who have already distinguished themselves in productions of the Bucharest National Opera (ONB).

The Opera Promenade programme:

1. Vincenzo Bellini – Overture from the opera “Norma” – Orchestra

2. Camille Saint-Saens – Delilah’s aria, “Mon coeur s’ouvre a ta voix”, from the opera “Samson et Dalila” – Maria Jinga

3. Giuseppe Verdi – Rodrigo’s aria, “O Carlo ascolta… Io morrò…”, from “Don Carlo” – Iordache Basalic

4. Giacomo Puccini – Butterfly’s aria, “Un bel di vedremo”, from “Madama Butterfly” – Tina Munteanu

5. Piotr Ilich Tchaikovsky – Lenski’s aria, “Kuda, kuda”, from “Eugene Onegin” – Vlad Mirita

6. Georges Bizet – “Seiguidilla”, from “Carmen” – Oana Andra

7. Giuseppe Verdi – Germont’s aria, “Di Provenza il mar”, from “La Traviata” – Florin Simionca

8. Giacomo Puccini – Mario Cavaradossi’s aria – “E lucevan le stelle”, from “Tosca” – Teodor Ilincai

9. Giacomo Puccini – Mimi’s aria – “Si, mi chiamano Mimi”, from “La Boheme” – Crina Zancu

10. Giacomo Puccini – The Mimi-Rodolfo duet “O soave fanciulla”, from “La Boheme” – Crina Zancu – Teodor Ilincai
