Magistracy body OKs arrest of two judges on corruption charges

The Superior Council of Magistrates (CSM) okayed the demand of the National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA) to arrest two judges of the Dolj Tribunal, for taking a bribe worth EUR 40,000, of which EUR 12,000 were found upon them, media sources quote judiciary sources as saying.


CSM ruled to allow the arrest of the two judges on Wednesday night. According to the sources, two lawyers are also involved in the affair.


DNA prosecutors already apprehended one of the two judges, according to judiciary sources quoted by Mediafax.
