PSD Senator Ion Vasile breaks into his own office

Scandal spread among Social-Democrats in Buzau, after senator Ion Vasile broke into his office, using a crowbar. The party’s local leaders changed the lock after Vasile was replaced from his office of president of the Social-Democrat Party (PSD)’s Buzau branch and announced his resignation in the Senate assembly. “I realised I could not get in and I found out that some gentlemen who came by had changed the lock at the entrance door. I consider that to be an illegal act,” Vasile said, after having turned to the police for help in opening the door. The senator had his office on the premises of PSD Buzau, where he had rented a room. Vasile says that by this gesture, of changing the lock, his colleagues prevented him from conducting his activity as senator. He has filed a complaint against the board of PSD Buzau. The senator collected his belongings from the office and moved to a different location. In response, the vice-president of PSD Buzau, Victor Mocanu, said yesterday, quoted by Mediafax, that Vasile failed to understand that the office was no longer his, after announcing his resignation, promising that they, in turn, would press charges against him for illegal break-in.
