Agriculture state secretary insults Romania

Upset about being asked to comment on apple distribution to school pupils grades 1st through 8th, a state dignitary allowed himself to insult the Romanian nation, daily ‘Jurnalul National’ wrote yesterday. “This is a country of imbeciles! Damn if you do, damn if you don’t!” Agriculture and Regional Development State Secretary Adrian Radulescu said. According to his wealth statement, he owns a 82,312,.64 square metre outside-city land tract, 5,000 square metres of farmland and a further 89,500 square metres of land at Mogosoaia, a cottage at Poiana Brasov and another one at the Black Sea holiday resort of Costinesti. Adding to the aforementioned are shares and social parts in 14 companies. His social ascension is just as staggering. A graduate of a two-year vocational school where he specialised in ‘splinting processing,’ he began work as a tool man and dye-maker at IMP Plopeni.
