Cornel Penescu, the financier of FC Arges, was arrested again on Monday by the prosecutors of the National Anti-corruption Office Pitesti for one of the briefs in which he is investigated. Liviu Facaleata, the administrator of Penescu’s companies, was arrested along with him. 24-hour arrest warrants were issued for the two, with both of them being detained within the Arges County Police Inspectorate. Penescu and Facaleata were previously arrested on April 13 last year, being part of the football corruption brief. They were released on probation on January 29 this year, after nine and a half months of preventive arrest.
