The French actress Isabelle Huppert will be in Bucharest between May 28 and 30, to take part in a series of events in her honour, including an exhibition and a retrospective, and is also to teach a masterclass with Cristian Mungiu, at the National University of Theatrical and Cinematographic Art (UNATC), the French Institute in Bucharest informs. The visit of the famous actress, winner of the Palme d’Or, will be marked by a series of events, among which the “Isabelle Huppert – The Woman with Portraits”, including 120 shots of the artist, signed by famous photographers, to be shown between May 28 and June 27 at the Dalles Hall, as well as a retrospective series of eight films in which she stars, to run between May 28 and 30, at the “Elvira Popescu” Hall of the French Institute. On May 28, Isabelle Huppert will be present at the Dalles Hall, at 20:30, at the opening of the exhibition. This will present 120 portraits of the artist, made by 74 of the great names of world photography, from Henri-Cartier Bresson to Juergen Teller. A single portrait of the actress Isabelle Huppert, whether it’s made by William Eggleston, Patrick Faigenbaum or Hiroshi Sugimoto, is worth about EUR 15,000. The “Isabelle Huppert – The Woman with Portraits” exhibition was first shown at the prestigious Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York in 2006.
