One killed, two injured in Bucharest home fire

One was killed and two were injured in a house fire in Bucharest District two yesterday morning, Mediafax reports. The fire started at a one-storey house in Tei district at about 4:20am, District 2 Municipality reports by press release. A woman died and two men were injured in the fire. One of them, Viorel Bulai, 60, sustained burns over 90 per cent of his body.

Firefighters managed to put out the fire which seems to have started from a lit cigarette. ‘Many cigarette buts were found at the scene, therefore a lit cigarette is likely to have caused the fire,’ the source notes.
