Cinema City in the Sun Plaza Complex, the biggest shopping centre in Romania, will open its gates to the public on June 18, Cinemagia informs. Cinema City will become, thus, the only operator to own two multiplex cinemas in Bucharest, amounting to over 7,000 seats. Cinema City Sun Plaza has 15 halls, totalling over 2,800 seats, becoming the second biggest cinema in Romania, after Cinema City Cotroceni, opened by the international operator at the end of last year. Cinema City Sun Plaza includes the largest digital theatre in the Cinema City network, which hosts 404 seats. The large number of halls offers the public a wider range of films to choose from, as well as a better frequency of running times, so that film-goers will benefit from enhanced flexibility when they wish to see a particular film. Cinema City Sun Plaza is the seventh multiplex which the international cinema network opens in Romania, since 2007. Cinema City Romania operates, at present, six multiplexes, which total 57 halls, amounting to over 10,000 seats. The cinemas can be found in Bucharest, Pitesti, Iasi, Timisoara, Cluj and Bacau.
