Faithless promise show full of surprise at Bucharest gig

The British band, set to open Ciuc Summer Fest on July 16, promise that their concert will include already known songs from their six albums but also many surprises, prepared especially for the Romanian audience. In a brief interview to daily ‘Evenimentul Zilei,’ the female half of the electronic duo, Sister Bliss, said the Bucharest concert will bring on stage eight more musicians and will include songs from each of the six studio albums released by the band until now. “We will sing these songs with passion and at maximum intensity. It will be a blend of old and new songs,” she said.

Sister Bliss said the band prepared special surprises for concert goers, but refused to reveal any of them. “You’ll have to wait and see,” she said.

When asked what makes Faithless come back to Romania, given that this is not their first performance in the country, Sister Bliss replied, “It’s probably the love and appreciation of Romanian fans. It’s so overwhelming that every time, we feel honoured to sing for them. At the same time, in Romania there is a big number of people who have a lot of appreciation for electronic music.”

Ciuc Summer Fest, held July 16-18 at Bucharest’s Zone Arena, will bring to the capital both Romanian and foreign artists. Besides Faithless, the festival will include much anticipated performances from Gary Moore and Pink Martini.
