Bucharest rental prices down 8 pc

Rental prices fell by an average of 8 per cent since early this year, Mediafax reports. The steepest drop was recorded for three-bedroom apartments, according to the real estate portal anunturiparticulari.ro. Owners demanded a rent of EUR 350 for a one-bedroom apartment in June, 5 per cent down from January, when it stood at EUR 370. Rent for a studio apartment in June came to an average EUR 250, 4 per cent down from January. Two-bedroom apartments witnessed a rental decline of 10 per cent, from EUR 540 to EUR 490 in June. The trend also applies to three-bedroom apartments, whose rental price decreased 15 per cent, from EUR 770 in January to EUR 660 in June.

June rental prices were slightly down from those the month before, save for studio apartments where the average rent stood at May’s level. For one-bedroom apartments, the drop equalled 1 per cent, and for two-bedroom apartments, 7 per cent respectively. The average price decline for three-bedroom apartments was of 17 per cent compared to the earlier month.
