IMF mission starts talks with tax authorities

A technical mission of the International Monetary Fund is expected to arrive to Bucharest today for talks with the National Tax Administration (ANAF), the head of the IMF Office for Romania, Tonny Lybek, announced yesterday, quoted by Agerpres.

An IMF delegation headed by mission chief for Romania Jeffrey Franks will be in Bucharest between July 26 and August 4 for a review of recent economic performance under the terms and conditions of the Stand-By Agreement and Letter of Intent. The purpose of this review mission is to prepare a report in view of disbursing the sixth EUR 900 M instalment of the EUR 13.6 bn loan the IMF granted to Romania.
