Modernisation of last two Bucharest beltway sectors to cost EUR 90 M

The National Company for Motorways and National Roads of Romania (CNADNR) is holding tendering procedures for awarding the modernisation works on the last two sectors of the Bucharest ring road road making the connection to A1 and A2 motorways, the estimated contracts being RON 381.54 M (EUR 89.8 M) net of VAT, Mediafax reports. The two contracts will be paid for by the state budget. The contracts for the widening of the 11.45 km long segment of the ring-road from DN2 and A2 (Bucharest-Constanta motorway) to four lanes includes engineering and construction works and has an estimated value of RON 243.42 M (EUR 57.31 M) net of VAT. The road sector is situated between km 12 + 300 and 23 + 750. Among other things, the contract will cover the construction of four junctions, relocation of utilities, three flyovers, a bridge and a car park on the left-hand side of the road, at km 16 + 400. Tenders are accepted until the end of August and the tendering security deposit is RON 4.8 M.


The contract for the widening of the 8.7 km long road sector from DN7 to A1 (Bucharest-Pitesti motorway) has an estimated value of RON 138.12 M (EUR 32.52 M) net of VAT. Tenders are accepted until August 30, and the tendering security deposit is RON 2.76 M.
