PARIS – Nicoleta Grasu ranked second in the discus throwing trial match which counts for the Diamond League. The Romanian athlete obtained her best record of the season (63.78 metres) in the Paris competition. The trial match was won by Yarelis Barrios (Cuba), with a 65.53 result (from the first trial). Sandra Perkovic (Croatia) ranked third – 63.62 metres. In less than 18 hours after the Paris performance, the disc-thrower Nicoleta Grasu claimed, on Saturday, on the Dinamo stadium in Bucharest, the club she represents, the national champion title, with a similar result – 63.37 metres.
