The American musicians Bela Fleck, winner of 13 Grammy awards, and Patricia Barber are two of the artists invited at the Jazz Festival taking place in Garana, Caras-Severin County, between July 22 and 25. The organizer of the Garana Jazz Festival, Marius Gira, stated, quoted by Mediafax, that guests at Garana also include Funky Growl (Romania), Elina Duni Quartet (Switzerland), Wolfert Brederode Quartet (Holland), Marcin Wasilevski Trio (Poland), Wolfgang Muthspeil (Austria) and others.
Giura announced that the price of a day ticket is RON 50, while a pass granting access to all concerts amounts to RON 170. This is the 14th edition of the Garana Jazz Festival. Artists who participated in the earlier editions include Jan Garbarek, Mike Stern, Miroslav Vitous, Yellow Jackets, Victor Wooten, Steve Hackett, Stanley Jordan, Nguien Lee and Jean Luc Ponty.
