The College of Psychologists and the Romanian Police came up with a profile of the menace-driver on Romanian roads: this refers to the drivers who run at high speed or behave aggressively when behind the wheel.
According to the survey, quoted by ‘Gandul’, the most aggressive drivers in traffic are those aged between 18 and 25, driving a strong car, with an engine of over 2000 cubic cm, and holding a license for less than 5 years. Those who drive during work, but without holding a professional driver license, also rate themselves as aggressive.
Drivers in urban areas consider they are more aggressive than those in rural areas, and men deem they are more aggressive than women. The study also indicates that one in four of the drivers questioned drove, at least once, under the influence of alcohol, and the leading position in this department is also claimed by men.
