Thousands of tourists filled the beach in Northern Mamaia, on Saturday, to watch the concert of the British singer Mika, for the first time in Romania. The concert was part of the Orange Summer Party and the public’s access was free. Wearing a blue and white tux and a top hat, accompanied by dancers in colourful costumes, the British artist managed to conquer the public in no time. Thousands of fans hummed his songs. He started with “Relax, take it easy”, and, during the concert, he also addressed the public in Romanian. Mika, aged 26, made his debut in the music industry three years ago. His first single, “Grace Kelly”, pushed him on the first positions of international charts. “Life in Cartoon Motion”, his first album, sold in over 5.7 million copies worldwide. For this album, the singer won the best British newcomer award in the 2008 edition of the Brit Awards Gala.
