Romanian short receives Sarajevo Festival award

The director Catalin Musat won an award for the short feature film “The Ticket Collector” in the Sarajevo Film Festival, running between July 23 and 31, his film being distinguished as the best of the four financed through the Sarajevo City of Film program, is reported on the site of the event. Catalin Musat received, on Tuesday evening, the EUR 2,000 prize granted by Atlantic Grupa – sponsor of the Sarajevo Festival -, in recognition of having made the best film in the 2010 Sarajevo City of Film program. The Romanian director took part in this program with the short feature film project “The Ticket Collector”, which was selected, alongside three others – “Frigidance”, by Kelmend Karuni (Albania), “Reverse”, by George Grisgorakis (Greece), and “Smart Girls”, by Hana Ju?i? and Sonja Taroki? (Croatia). Selected projects receive a grant of maximum EUR 12,500, and the entire production process takes place in Sarajevo. The films premiere, then, within the festival and are promoted under the aegis of this event. Sarajevo City of Film was launched in 2008 and is a program meant to encourage cooperation between directors, scriptwriters, producers and actors in Central and Eastern Europe.
