Navy Day celebrations kick off today in the capital

Manifestations occasioned by the Romanian Navy Day, celebrated every year on August 15, kick off today, in Bucharest, with a series of concerts and symposiums, Mediafax informs.

Thus, according to the Romanian Navy Staff, the series of events starts at 9:00, when the Romanian Navy Military Music will offer an original concert, for an hour, on the esplanade of the National Military Centre Palace in Bucharest. This will be followed, in the same venue, by a symposium titled “Romanian Navy Davy – present and prospects”, the launch of the Naval Forces Monograph and the opening of a navy-themed painting and sculpture exhibition, organized by the Romanian Navy Museum, in collaboration with the Romanian Navy League.

On the same day, in Cismigiu Park, between 18:00 and 20:00, the Romanian Navy Military Music will delight us with a musical programme, which will also include the presentation of an exhibition of navy uniforms and historical costumes, prepared by the “Military Tradition” Association, and young people interested in a career in the Navy will be acquainted with the programs on offer at the “Mircea cel Batran” Navy Academy.
