Ukraine says ‘no more territorial concessions’ in Romania disputes

Ukraine no longer plans to accept any territorial concessions in its disputes with Romania, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry’s press bureau head Oleg Voloshin yesterday told Novyi region agency, quoted by HotNews. “Romania is and will remain our neighbour. It is an EU member and our partner. But we will no longer accept strange and ungrounded concessions to Bucharest,” he said. He added that Ukraine follows Greater Romania Party statements that Ukrainian territory should be reincorporated in Romania. This is one of the main reasons why Ukrainian FM Konstantin Grischenko has not been on an official Romanian visit so far, Voloshin added.
