Dacia produced 215,463 units in first seven months

Automobile Dacia has produced 215,463 units in the first seven months, while Ford produced 4,178 units, according to the Association of Car Producers and Importers (APIA), quoted by Mediafax. Taking into account the 15 trucks built by Roman Brasov, the national production of automobiles stood at 219,656 units, 24.7 per cent higher than the one reported in the same period last year. 89 per cent of the units (194,523) were exported. Nevertheless, when compared to the same period last year, in the first seven months of this year auto sales dropped by 26.2 per cent to 68,244. In July, compared to June, auto sales dropped by 38.7 per cent to 9,294 units. 61,288 cars were sold in the first seven months of this year, 26 per cent below the level reported in the same period last year.
