From the helicopter straight onto the ring road around Sibiu, PM Emil Boc and Minister of Transport Radu Berceanu yesterday visited the road construction site, promising locals they will have no more traffic jams as of December, Mediafax informs. “I am here to make sure the people of Sibiu are getting rid of the nightmare traffic crossing through the city. The locals should be taking pictures of the heavy traffic in the city because they won’t have it for a very long time from now on,” he added. The Sibiu ring road will be 23 km long, more than half of it having a motorway regime. The 23 km are divided into two segments. Works started in the spring of 2003 and should have been over by the autumn of 2006.
