Romania’s adjusted construction works down 22.5 pc YoY

Romania’s construction works fell 22.5 pc in adjusted data in July compared with the same month a year earlier, a National Institute for Statistics study points out, Mediafax informs. In adjusted data for number of working days and seasonality, residential construction works were down 52.7 pc on the year in July, non-residential constructions decreased by 24 pc while civil engineering works saw a 4 pc fall. Also, Romania’s power output dropped by 1.3 pc on the year in January-July, while the country’s total power resources rose 1.1 pc on the year in the same period. Moreover, Romanian industrial new orders fell 13.3% on the month in July, due to declines in most sectors.
