Lufthansa drops Bucharest-Milan flight

Lufthansa Italy airways will suspend, once the winter calendar begins (November 1), the Bucharest-Milan flight which it had been operating since March 2009. The motive invoked by Lufthansa officials is the low number of planes the company owns at present. “The Bucharest-Milan flight will be reintroduced as of March 2011. The flight was in great demand, however, the low number of planes we own at present determined us to cancel it during the winter,” company officials stated, quoted by ‘Adevarul.’ The Bucharest-Milan flight was introduced last year and operated seven times a week.
