RON 189 M damages to state budget by derogations in VAT payment

Tax inspectors found, in the first eight months of the year, following activities to keep a watch on intra-community acquisitions, RON 189.4 M damages brought to the state budget by derogations in the payment of VAT, according to the National Tax Administration Agency (ANAF). The Agency approved in the first six months the extension of terms for payment for 7,109 companies, whose debts amount to RON 2.38 bln. At the same time, ANAF will set up, by the end of the year, a specialised structure to tax individuals who make high incomes, to avoid risks of defaulting, given that the richest Romanians owe a fifth of the annually set income tax at national level.
